August 12, 2026 v0.40
v0.40.10featureGemini answers by default. Everyday work now runs on Gemini first with Claude as the backup, and anything that falls back to Claude gets one more Gemini try if Claude also fails. When one provider is having a bad day, Audy keeps working instead of going dark.
v0.40.09fixCalendar answers you can trust. Audy now only says something went on your calendar after re-reading it there, moving a timed event no longer reports a failure that did not happen, and "cancel my nine o'clock" still works at ten. She can also set a location, notes, all-day and an alert when creating an event, and rename one afterwards.
v0.40.08fixQuiet time that sticks. A decision to hold a message back could be wiped during her nightly tidy-up, so the same message went out anyway; that record now survives the night, and nothing she files away is hard deleted any more. Quiet hours and the first unprompted message of the day now follow each user's own schedule instead of one fixed clock.
v0.40.07fixVoice notes are never lost. Your recording is saved before transcription is even attempted, so a failed transcription can no longer destroy what you said, and the failure notice says plainly that the audio was kept. The typing indicator now covers the whole transcription, and a transcription that fails on the cheap tier is retried on the sharper one.

Seven decisions about your notes, reminders and memories were being made with no view of the current date or time, which could keep the wrong version of a note or quietly un-quiet her on the wrong day. v0.40.04fixNightly jobs cannot stall. One malformed line in her own records could have stopped her nightly routine permanently, taking the weekly self-review, the month-end budget close and her nightly memory pass with it. That is fixed, and her conversation records no longer lose entries when several things happen at once.
v0.40.03fixTemporary settings expire again. The sweep that undoes time-limited settings had been crashing since August 10, so anything set to revert on its own never did. It runs again, and settings already stored in the broken form heal on the next read.
v0.40.02featureShe notices what happened next. Audy now keeps a record of what observably followed each thing she did: whether a reminder was marked done, snoozed, or had to be sent four times, and what happened during a silence she chose. Her weekly self-review reads that evidence instead of guessing, and nothing anywhere turns it into a score or a success rate.
v0.40.01fixWeb answers really are searched. Gemini often answered from memory while looking like a live search, wearing citations it typed itself, including invented weather warnings and links that did not exist; that happened in 11 of 20 test searches and is now down to 3, with Google's own record of what was searched used as a backstop. After she updates herself, the outgoing copy now always shuts down instead of sometimes living on beside the new one, and a second copy started by hand stands aside rather than running alongside. Her own cleanup can also no longer kill the healthy copy it exists to protect.

v0.38.05fixBroken background jobs get noticed. A background job that hit an error used to stop for good, silently, which is how her version display froze and a stuck scheduled job could go unreported for weeks. Those jobs now restart, and one that keeps failing reaches you instead of disappearing into a log.
v0.38.04featureShe asks to update herself. When new code is ready and waiting, Audy notices, asks you about it once a day at most, and on a yes updates and restarts herself, so there is nothing for you to type. If the new version fails its own start-up check she puts herself back on the previous one.
v0.38.03fix"Do not contact me" sticks. Telling Audy not to bother you is now written down the moment you say it and read by everything that might message you first; before this, a nag or reminder could still arrive shortly after you had said not to be contacted. A held reminder also stopped being re-considered every two minutes, "not tomorrow" now expires on the right day, and a reminder you set yourself can never be quietly dropped.
v0.38.02fixLate-night reminders land right. Asking at 3am to be reminded "tomorrow" saved it for the wrong day, because the tools she writes reminders with only knew the date, not the time. They all carry a real clock now, and when the day is genuinely ambiguous she creates the reminder on her best reading and says which day she picked, so one sentence can correct it.
v0.38.01featureSmall changes, told not asked. When Audy spots a pattern about her own behaviour, such as nagging about bills on Mondays, she now changes it and states what changed in the morning update rather than asking a yes or no every day; patterns about your own data still come to you as a question. Routine notices that were really just your own next move also stopped reaching you, so nothing like a housekeeping update arrives late at night.

v0.37.05fixShe recovers from stuck updates. Her memory, settings and conversation history no longer share a home with the code she updates from, which could leave an install stranded and unable to update for days. If updates stay blocked for 72 hours she now repairs herself safely, keeps a full copy of everything first, and tells you it happened.
v0.37.04featureWeb search moved to Gemini. Web searches now go to Gemini first, roughly thirteen times cheaper on a clean answer, with Claude still there when Gemini fails or cannot do the job. A search you scope to named sources still goes to Claude every time, because that guarantee cannot be enforced on the other side.
v0.37.01featureShe asks about what she noticed. Patterns Audy works out about you that could genuinely annoy you or move the ground under you now reach you in the morning update as a plain yes or no, instead of sitting unanswerable forever; some had been stuck for days. Gentler, pleasant observations stay quiet exactly as before.
August 8, 2026 v0.36
v0.36.07fixRepair work stops re-alerting. A self-repair step could throw away her most recent save, which reset the counter that spaces out repeat alerts, so the same alert could keep arriving every few hours. The save is now carried through the repair.
v0.36.06fixTelling her off works. Complaining that she messaged too much was mechanically the strongest way to make her message more, because any reply from you reset her eagerness to its most eager setting; that counter is gone, replaced by a note she writes about how her last unprompted message actually landed, so "stop" stays true until she sees it has changed. A note she wrote herself in the morning could also fire hours later as if it were fresh, so everything waiting for her attention now arrives stamped with how old it is and can be retired.
v0.36.05fixReal answers, not error codes. Correct messages could be replaced by error codes, because plain checks called them broken: a clean list could be flagged as "cut off mid-sentence" for ending on "AM", and a correct total called invented because those digits were not in the source. Most of those checks are gone, all nine competing length limits are deleted, and a message longer than Telegram allows is split rather than thrown away.
v0.36.04fixShe checks before speaking first. Requests for quiet were sometimes ignored shortly after being made, because the twenty places that start a conversation, including reminders, the morning update and alerts, never saw a word you had typed. Every message she starts now passes one judgment first and can be held for a better moment or let go, and a held message no longer marks a reminder delivered or silences a spending alert you never saw.
v0.36.01fixHealth notes stay private. A note tagged health or medical could be saved into the code history she publishes online, which is exactly where those notes are not meant to go. Any such note is now checked for that and fails loudly, wherever it is filed.

v0.35.27featureCheaper by default. Two model calls were skipping her own routing and running on Claude, invisible to the running cost: the grounded web-search reply and the rare budget-category guess. Both are now routed and counted, the category guess moved to a cheaper model, and any future call that defaults to Claude has to carry a written reason.
v0.35.14fixYour yes lands again. Audy restarts many times a day, and every restart wiped her memory of which cleanup proposals she was waiting on, so "yes, retire that one" reached nothing and the same suggestions kept coming back. She now rebuilds that waiting list from her notes on every start, and anything you already answered stays answered.
v0.35.13fixHer check-ins actually happen. Everything she does "every so often" counted down from her last restart, so on a restart-heavy day the hourly pass could run once and the longer reviews not at all. Timers now pick up where they left off, with a single catch-up pass after a long gap, and she is no longer killed part-way through saving her memory.
v0.35.12featureUpdates only when you say. Audy now runs the code you promote rather than everything that lands, so she restarts when you decide instead of every time work merges, which could mean many restarts in a single day. Ask her and she will say which version she is on and when it last moved.

One set of actions now covers reminders, calendar events and todos, several at once in a single ask, and closing or deleting fans out to everywhere that thing lives, so a reminder mirrored onto your calendar closes both and says so. Repeat schedules can be changed after the fact, and "just this one" is told apart from "stop repeating entirely".
v0.35.10fix"Done" actually closes it. Saying a reminder was done only ticked a box and left it on the books as live work, which could leave the pinned list full of items long finished. Done now closes it everywhere, your existing sheet repairs itself within a couple of minutes, and retiring a reminder always clears the calendar entry it created.
v0.35.09fixShe remembers her own messages. Audy could not see machinery notices or pinned-list updates that went out in her name, so she contradicted messages sitting right above her in the chat. She now sees everything her side sent, knows which of it was machinery rather than her, and holds twice as much recent conversation.
v0.35.08fixReadable fallbacks, honest codes. When she could not put your radar into words you got a long dump of raw reminder rows and an error code that blamed the wrong thing. You now get a short honest line, like "24 open reminders and 3 things waiting on a reply", and a rejection can never come back longer than the message it rejected.

Complaints about her behaviour were gathered up weekly and then thrown away over a one-letter naming mismatch; existing ones are picked up on the next weekly run with nothing to re-say. Her own check before sending was rejecting about 7 in 10 replies, treating "I cannot see where this came from" as "this is wrong", and it could talk her into a web search instead of simply asking what you meant. v0.34.26fixOne odd word asks back. Typing a single unfamiliar word made Audy search the web and act instead of asking what you meant. When there is genuinely nothing else to go on, asking what you meant now counts as the answer.
v0.34.25fixShe remembers her own nags. If she nagged you and you said "defer it" a minute later, "it" resolved to nothing, because her own unprompted messages did not reach her short-term memory until she next restarted. They land in it on the very next turn now.

v0.34.19featureAudy can speak. She can now reply with a real spoken voice note in Telegram, decided per message, with the words underneath as a caption unless the reply is long, at about a third of a cent per spoken reply; if the voice fails, the text still goes out and she says so. Nags and pinned status messages are never spoken.

v0.34.16fixRefunds stop disappearing. A negative amount in your budget sheet, written as -$500.00, could not be read, so the entire row was silently dropped from every total. Imported bank transactions can also now be pulled into a separate test tab, never your real ledger.
v0.34.14fixMedium nagging back to normal. A live tweak had left medium-priority reminders re-nagging only once every 24 hours. They are back to the intended 5 hours, then 6, then daily, with anything you set on an individual reminder untouched.
v0.34.13featureTurns cost less. The check that runs before each reply moved off the expensive model onto a cheap one; on one measured day that check alone was 62% of a turn's cost. The unchanging part of her instructions is now held in a cache rather than re-read on every call, and the spending trace stopped double-counting cached text.
v0.34.12fixThe calendar reads correctly. Reading your calendar during a conversation had never once worked against the real Google service; every call was rejected. It works now, and a list she genuinely could not read is voiced as unreadable rather than reported to you as empty.
v0.34.11fixLong messages arrive. A morning update could grow longer than Telegram accepts, and then nothing reached you while the log claimed delivery; over-long messages are now split and sent. Scheduled saving also stopped freezing everything else for seconds at a time, which had been making scheduled work miss its slot.

v0.33.23fixConfirmations are re-checked. Every reminder and budget write now re-reads what it just wrote and reports what is really there. A write that quietly failed is never reported back to you as done.
v0.33.22featureEvery message has a ceiling. One compound message could quietly spiral into twenty or more model calls with nothing coordinating them. There is now a single cost ceiling for the whole turn, set well above genuinely heavy use, and if it is reached she says plainly what she did not get to.
v0.33.20featureFix a logged expense. "No hang on, that $200 was groceries, not gas" now corrects the entry in place, on the row already in your ledger. No second row, no delete and re-add, and it works on an older entry rather than only the last one.
v0.33.17fixSpending estimates corrected. Her deepest-reasoning calls were priced at three times their real rate, so every estimate of what she had spent on them ran high. The official rate is now used, pinned so it cannot drift again.
v0.33.16fixMemory stays where it belongs. Every running copy of Audy force-pushed its entire memory to the owner's account every half hour, whoever that copy belonged to. Only a copy explicitly marked as the owner's does that now; everyone else's records stay put.
v0.33.15featureMove a reminder in place. "Move the suit to Monday" is now one small edit to the existing row rather than a delete and re-create, and deleting a reminder is an ordinary ask too. A rescheduled reminder also moves its mirrored calendar entry, where before the entry was cleared and never put back.

"What's my day", "what's around the 24th" and "put the wedding in Saturday if it's not there" now resolve against your real calendar during the conversation, instead of being answered from the reminder sheet or deferred to the morning. v0.33.12fixA bad update rolls back. An update that looked fine but broke her at start-up used to take Audy down until someone noticed and undid it by hand. v0.33.05fixOne morning message. Three separate morning jobs fired at the same time, each blind to the others, so one could call the day clear moments before another named several open items. The morning update is now a single composed message on weekdays, and it can only call the day clear when every part of it really is empty.
v0.33.04featureCompound messages land together. A message asking for several things can now settle several of them in one turn, with every part of Audy reachable inside the same conversation. Photos take that same path, and a reply claiming something was done when the underlying action failed is caught before it is sent.

v0.32.19featureYour location log stays local. Every live-location ping is now written to a log on your own machine and nowhere else, never uploaded or backed up. It trims itself so it cannot grow forever, and you can delete the file whenever you want.
v0.32.17featureBetter place names. When the free map data has no business listed at your spot, Audy can now check Google Places for the nearest named establishment before settling for "near the town". A repeat visit to a place she already named costs nothing.

v0.30.24featureLive location sharing. Audy now understands a Telegram live-location share, noticing when you arrive somewhere and when you leave. It never lands in the conversation as raw coordinates, and it feeds questions like "where am I" and "what is near me".
v0.30.23fixFewer "back online" messages. She was announcing herself after every silent background update, sometimes several times in a single morning. She now speaks up only when she was genuinely off, and at most once a day.
v0.30.22fixLong morning updates fit. A morning update with a lot in it could be cut off partway through. The ceiling is nearly three times higher now, and it still only uses what the update actually needs.

v0.30.12fixClean quits and restarts. Quitting or restarting from the tray killed Audy outright, so anything she had learned since the last save was lost. She is now asked to stop herself first, and nothing is left running in the background if the app managing her is force-closed.

v0.28.19featureTiming that follows through. The contact window Audy tunes for herself now genuinely drives when she reaches out, rather than just moving the measuring stick. Reminder times that drift out of step with your calendar get quietly corrected and mentioned in the next round-up, and messages name the event or reminder by its own words instead of pasting a code at you.
v0.28.18featureQuiet by default. Audy now gathers things worth mentioning and sends them as one message rather than a ping per item, staying silent unless something genuinely clears the bar. v0.26.12featureShe learns when to reach out. Audy can now shift her own preferred contact window when the evidence says she is consistently late. When two of your stated preferences genuinely contradict each other, she raises it with you instead of quietly picking a side.
v0.26.11featureEvery reply in her own voice. Confirmations, batched reminders, budget receipts and month-end reports were stitched from fixed sentences, with an over-formal address hardcoded into fourteen of them; they are all written by Audy now, and a check refuses any reply whose numbers do not trace back to the facts. A correction about how she addresses you could also be filed as outdated and never reach her; that is fixed too.
v0.26.05fixShe stops re-asking what she knows. In ordinary conversation Audy never consulted her own memory, so she asked again for things you had already told her. Memory now runs on any turn that needs it, and it reaches your finance, work and admin notes, which it had never been able to read at all.
v0.26.04featureA tray that tells the truth. The tray icon turns red the moment Audy is not running and back to blue when a healthy one is, and "Show Console" opens a clean log view with no startup clutter above the first line. Restart now always pulls the newest code, where before it silently skipped the update if anything was unsaved.
